Forged Nozzle
Q-Lip Nozzles
A Q-lip nozzle is a unique connection design that contains a Q-lip (insert lip) that is welded directly into the pressure vessel wall during the fabrication assembly. This allows for simpler and economic installation, as well as easier and less costly weld inspections. The design also provides superior toughness and ductility in high stress areas. It is essential when the pressure vessel design requires capability of withstanding cyclic loading conditions during its service in the field. The most common application for this type of a connection is when an existing nozzle on the pressure vessel requires replacement.
Forged Integrally reinforced nozzle Flange
When the term "integrally reinforced nozzles" is used in a spec, it generally mean to say a "one piece" forged nozzle that has the reinforcement included in the neck and the flange is also forged with the body.
In power generation, oil and gas, and other industries, pressure vessels have been one of the major infrastructural components. Pressure nozzles are heavy-duty additions that facilitate the inflow and outflow of these fluids from the pressure vessel for further processing. Adding the nozzle to the vessel requires creating an opening on the vessel and joining the nozzle to it.
